Peter asked, " Who then can be saved". This is in response to what Jesus said about the rich who will not make it to heaven because they refuse to give to the poor. Peter, in his imagination, thought salvation was for the rich. They have all they want, and their roses bloom in pleasant places. He was looking at the temporary stay in this life. He limited himself to what he could see. Jesus responded that it doesn't work that way. Deliverance, riches, security and life, belong to God and He can give to whom he will. It is not a function of what we have, our abilities or prowess, For with God all things are possible. Believe the Lord!
